Our Philosophy
The company’s origins go back to 1875 when the Tanaka Engineering Works was established as Japan’s first manufacturer of telegraphic equipment. The last 30 years Toshiba has studied, designed and innovated for the air conditioning market, a sector that is now very competitive and crowded.

The true quality of residential air conditioning goes well past our capacity to control and direct air and filtration. There are many stages and additional functions, such as pre-treatment, removal of fine particles and allergens from the air. Ultimately, the Daisekai model includes a beneficial shower of negative ions and electrostatic purification.
Toshiba has anticipated many legislative regulations on the control of refrigerant emissions into the atmosphere, and has pioneered solutions that only a few can claim similar technological supremacy. For example Toshiba was the first air conditioning manufacturer to launch a product range with non-ozone depleting refrigerant R410a back in 1999.
